The Sun-Times News Group, owner of Chicage Sun-Times, selected Pluck in 2008 to power social media for its award winning Suntimes.com site – the first of 6 Pluck-powered properties to be deployed by the Sun-Times. Initially leveraging SiteLife features such as comments and recommendations to spur engagement around user-enhanced content, the Sun-Times News Group is teaming with Pluck to roll out additional modules later in 2008, including personas, photos and video.
Additionally, Suntimes.com implemented BlogBurst to augment topical content areas around its news, sports, business, and entertainment sections. With BlogBurst’s contextual headline widgets, the Sun-Times enjoys targeted access to a valuable content library of over 3 million blog posts, giving their readers a view into the blogosphere around relevant topic areas.
