WPNI, Washington Post/Newsweek Interactive, is the online publishing subsidiary of The Washington Post Company.
Deployment Details
The Post began work with Pluck as a BlogBurst Lighthouse customer in 2006. The Post currently uses BlogBurst for a variety of sales-centric purposes tied to washingtonpost.com, including the creation of new BlogBurst-powered Brand Channels and has also added SiteLife features including Reactions, Forums and Personas (view the press release here).
In 2007, the Post broadly deployed Pluck’s SiteLife Social Media Suite to power a range of community-centric engagement gateways. Specific facets of the Post’s SiteLife-powered community efforts include:
Story-Level Comments – SiteLife Reactions enables conversation and long-lived interactivity around the Post’s original content
Rich User Profiles – SiteLife Personas powers rich social networking and user interaction as part of the Post’s MyPost initiative
Topical Discussion Groups – SiteLife Forums powers topic-focused community and discourse around a range of local and national issues, guided by notable WashingtonPost.com staff.
