Six major concepts explicate the architecture and use of the Pluck API:

Widgets. Any Pluck Application or Collection can be injected into a digital framework with ease, via a client-side browser or server-side services call. Our Widgets make management of CSS, HTML and other Presentation layer controls consistent and seamless.

SEO. Pluck requests can be made via batched or real-time commands through third party services such as content management systems. This ensures that all items within the Pluck community platform are discoverable via Google and other search engines.

SDKs. Proprietary displays and commands via C#/.NET, Java, JavaScript, Objective C, PHP and Python provide direct access to all 428 Social Components in the Pluck platform. One instance of Pluck can power multiple SDK uses simultaneously.

Mobile. Pluck offers optimized templates for mobile applications and mobile Web experiences. The Pluck SDK enables native iOS (Objective C) and Android (Java) development.

Web. Pluck can hook into your website architecture in various ways. Pluck can be called by the CMS. It can also feed federated search, manage single sign-on, be wrapped with tracking tags, deliver data dumps for analytics and offsite backup, and more.

Social. Pluck provides you with a variety of avenues for exploiting external social destinations. Pluck Connectors let community members bind their Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other accounts to the Pluck community. But importantly, Pluck can run natively in platforms like Facebook with optimized versions of our standard applications. Community members’ social experiences can also be bridged to other destinations through Pluck’s Syndication and Identification Engines.
