Pluck Personas

The Pluck Persona application is the platform’s most ambitious and feature-rich application. For most Pluck-driven social sites, and for most participants in those sites, the Persona is the hub of all social activity. It is the application in which participants define their site identity and it records and reflects their relationships and interactions on the site.

All Pluck community activity taken by a user feeds into this centralized user profile. A user's Persona is automatically updated with community contributions, and can be discovered by other users through friendships, username and avatar attribution throughout the site – driving engagement and encouraging user-to-user connections.  And through Pluck Connectors, the Persona can also import and export certain elements from 3rd party social destinations such as Facebook and Twitter.

Key Features

User Profile – Pluck Personas include a user's core profile information and a range of customizable profile elements, allowing users to identify and connect with each other.

Recent Activity Feed – Displays a user's recent activity throughout the site (or multiple sites).

Integrated Blogs – Each Pluck user has a fully-functional blog, entailing all the functionality of Pluck Blogs.

Integrated Photo Galleries – Each Pluck user has a feature-rich photo gallery integrated into his or her Persona.

Friends & Following – Allows users to connect and provides an easy way for users to share site content with each other.

Messages – Public “wall” type messages as well as private messages that enable direct user-to-user communication.

Advanced Privacy Settings – Three primary privacy settings: public, private, and friends-only.

Integrated Recommendations – Delivering the ability to provide one-click endorsements of other community members.

Subscriptions & Notifications – Pluck Personas include integrated features that alert and prompt users to return to the community, including RSS feeds, email notifications when certain activities occur around their Persona, social bridging with social destinations such as Facebook and Twitter through Pluck Connectors, and other features.

Integrated Rewards – Displaying a user’s assigned or earned badges prominently within the user profile.

Integrated Discovery – Surfacing the most active and prominent community members.

Advanced Moderation Capabilities – Enabling pre/post moderation, automatic approval by user tier, word filtering, and community abuse reporting.
